LeGrand B. Pratt was born 11 Aug 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah, being the sixth of Parker and Katie Pratt's fifteen children. Lee attended Granite High School where he was on the swimming team and in the state championships of springboard diving. He then worked as a life guard at Saltair, the big resort at Great Salt Lake. He then moved back to Washington, D.C., where his brother Elmer lived and had several jobs, including being a cab driver. He then served in the Navy. He married Virginia Brengleman and they lived in Huntington Beach, Calif. She passed away before having any children. He then moved back to Utah where he met and married Kathryn Worsley. He worked for many years there at Western Electric and then later at Bell Telephone where he retired as a manager after thirty years of service.
Lee had a very quiet personality, in contrast to his effervescent wife Kathryn. He was loved by all, and had a great sense of humor. He was physically very strong. He and Kay lived in Salt Lake City all of their married lives, raising their two children Jim and John. He passed away on 30 May 1984.
