This new revelation states that the Sealed Book has fulfilled prophecy, so ignoring it leads to peril.
Nephi prophesied that the words of the "sealed book" would someday be read from the housetops:
And the day cometh that the words of the book which were sealed shall be read upon the house tops; and they shall be read by the power of Christ; — 2 Nephi 27:11.

This revelation begins by quoting excerpts from D&C 45 which, like Matthew 24, reviews some of the signs of the times just prior to the Second Coming. It then goes to clarify more precisely just where we are in the fulness of times and how the prophecies and instructions in the Sealed Book relate to the coming calamities and plagues described in the Book of Revelation, as well as to other prophecies, such as of the Davidic Servant (Ezek. 34:23-25) and the one "mighty and strong" (D&C 85:7) who is to come.
This article presents the contents of that revelation in English, along with related scripture references. I have had access to the content in Portuguese, the language in which it was given in Brazil, since the evening of Mon 30 Mar 2020, when I was asked to translate it and make a video of me reading it for those interested in hearing it in English. Because of my prior access to the revelation, this article is being published on the very day that the new revelation is being announced at a general conference in Brazil.
The following is my translation of the revelation into English, with scripture references and endnotes added by me. The Biblical language "thee", "thou", "ye", and "you" was used for clarity because the equivalent of those words are still used in Portuguese, whereas modern English confounds those separate meanings by conflating all four words into one: "you".[3] The revelation states that the Lord is quoting His own words, so when such verses in the Doctrine and Covenants (D&C) were recognized, the wording given to Joseph Smith was used. Versification is as in the original Portuguese.
It may be well for those who have treated the Sealed Book as bogus to see if they recognize the Voice speaking in this revelation and to ask God whether it truly came from the Lord. It was revealed to Mauricio A. Berger in Brazil from 19 Mar to 27 Mar 2020. The part being published today reads:
- Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Father, therefore take heed of these words of mine, which I reveal to you through my chosen servant, whom I have called and appointed in these last days to reveal to you the words of the sealed record of the plates of Mormon, as a testimony to the world, that Jesus Christ is your Redeemer, and it is through the grace of God the Father that ye are privileged to bear this testimony to the world, which message my people did not receive when this record was revealed among the children of men, because they, even though seeing, do not perceive the light, for behold, the hearts of this people are dull with pride; their ears are deaf because of the vanity in their hearts, and they have closed their eyes because of spiritual arrogance.
- What further increases my sadness, because my bowels are filled with pain, is that my people despise the word of God the Father, with regard to the prophecies that would have served as a sign of when these things began to occur among them, whether in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, or the book of Doctrine and Covenants.
- And now, behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, unto you who claim to be members of my church, that ye will come to know the truth of these ancient records, which by me have been preserved for a wise future purpose, so that ye may drive away the darkness among you and so that this record which now reaches you, together with those to whom these commandments were given, may have the power to bring my church out of obscurity and darkness, so that my name shall not be profaned among you and so that the blood of mine anointed ones, which was shed in the Carthage jail, and of all the pioneers who died in the early days of the restoration, not be required of your hands, just as I have required the blood of all the ancient prophets of the hands of my people, Israel, for turning their backs on the prophets that I sent them over the times that were pre-determined by me, rejecting, as my people do today, my voice with regard to the subjects which I propose to reveal to them through my servants, the prophets.
- However, those who truly believe in this sealed record will not be confounded, and will know that God is in their midst, because He will deliver them from the sudden plague that sweeps the earth, and this too in the last days, because it shall remain on the earth, as it will be the beginning of pain that comes to you as a desolating disease ... and the groans of the parents will fill the earth because of the hunger that shall befall your little ones through the calamity that comes to you like a plague of locusts, which will consume the resources of the nations and, behold, in the course of those days, a strong wind of animosity between your national leaders will sweep the four corners of the earth, making them stand out — a man sitting on the back of a red horse, who will have power and authority to take peace from the children of men because of an alliance between two kings, will overflow the borders of the nations and go on to the ends of the earth.
- Oh! Obstinate children! If only my people would listen to my former words, just as I, Jesus Christ, foretold to you before, when through my servant Joseph I said to you: Hearken, O ye people of my church, to whom the Kingdom has been given; hearken ye and give ear to him who laid the foundation of the earth, who made the heavens and all the hosts thereof, and by whom all things were made (D&C 45:1). Hearken unto my voice, lest death shall overtake you in an hour when ye least expect it, at the end of the harvest (D&C 45:2), when my work shall be finished.
- Listen, therefore, to him who is your advocate with the Father, who is pleading your cause before him — (D&C 45:3) hear my voice while it is called today, and harden not your hearts, for verily I say unto you that I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the light and the life of the world — a light that shineth in the darkness and the darkness comprehendeth it not, because I came unto mine own and mine own received me not; but unto as many as received me gave I power to do many miracles, and to become the sons of God, and even unto them that believed on my name, gave I power to obtain eternal life (D&C 45:6-8).
- And so I also have sent mine everlasting covenant into the world, which is the Sealed Book of the records of Mormon, to be a light to the world, to be a model for my people, and for the Gentiles to seek it, and to be a messenger before my face to prepare the way before me (D&C 45:9).
- And, behold, I will reason with him that cometh to know the words of this book, as I did with men in days of old; and I will show unto you my strong reasoning (D&C 45:10) and I will show it plainly, as I showed it unto my disciples as I stood before them in the flesh, and spake unto them, saying (D&C 45:16) that desolation would come upon them (D&C 45:19) and this I have told you concerning Jerusalem, and when that day shall come, shall a remnant be scattered among all nations, but they shall be gathered again, but they shall remain until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled (D&C 45:24-25), and in that day the whole earth shall be in commotion, and men's hearts shall fail them (D&C 45:26), and iniquity shall abound (D&C 45:27) among them in this generation, and the times of the Gentiles shall be fulfilled in these days (D&C 45:30), inasmuch as there shall be men in this generation who shall not pass until they see this terrible plague that will be like locusts consuming their crops, for a desolating sickness shall cover the land (D&C 45:31) and the consequence will be a calamity for those who do not hear my voice.
- But if my disciples shall stand in holy places, they shall not be moved by their faith, but among the wicked, men shall lift up their voices and curse the work of God and die. There shall still be earthquakes in diverse places and many desolations (D&C 45:32-33) that will come after these first things happen, and yet men will harden their hearts against my work and raise accusations against mine anointed ones.
- But as for you who are mine, do not be disturbed, because when all these things happen, ye will know that the promises that have been made to you will be fulfilled, for when the light begins to shine (D&C 45:35-36), that is, when my people go back to see what is written in this ancient record that was revealed to you from the sealed plates of Mormon, behold, it shall be for them like the parable of the traveler, who on leaving before dawn cannot see anything on his way because of the darkness, until the sun rises on the horizon and, as it appears, begins to eliminate the shadows that obscure your vision until the sun reaches its fulness in the sky, when there will be no more shadows in the traveler's path. So it is with the arrival of the fulness of my gospel among the children of men, only those who do not want to see the light that shines on them will remain in darkness.
- And who among my people can say that they have never had access to or obtained knowledge of this record?
- Once its emergence among the children of men was widely publicized via the roofs of the houses, with waves that were created by me, Jesus Christ, from the beginning of all time, which expand from the earth's magnetic fields and propagate in space, by the particles of which the waves flow everywhere, which allow you to make use of what you understand as the Internet, but which is nothing more than my power, which is in all things and in every place and fills all things, inasmuch as it was revealed to you formerly that when the words of the book that were sealed appeared among the children of men, they would be read on the roofs of the houses, and would be read among the children of men and would be read by the power of Christ (2 Nephi 27:11). How then can ye claim that ye are not aware of this record?
- Who beforehand prophesied and did this, calling the nations to see that my people, again, approach me with their lips and with their mouths do honor me, but that their hearts are far from me, the Lord? (Isa. 29:13).
- I did it myself, so that my people would know that I am not in their midst and that their priesthood shall not have any power when the plague of locusts and the desolating sickness comes upon them in the land of their inheritance, when hurricanes, tempests and earthquakes bring down their temples, just as I did with the Nauvoo temple, which had been desecrated after the death of my servant, Joseph Smith Jr.
- Judge ye for yourselves, whether because of your disobedience to the commandments and prophecies which I gave you in the past, regarding the appearance of this record that has now been revealed among you, which my people persist in treating lightly since its publication among men, if it was not appropriate for me, the one who heals the wounds of my people, to send you an overpowering sign?
- And this I do because of your weakened spiritual health, because there is pride in your hearts, in affirming that ye are spiritually healthy, when in fact this spiritual endemic completely overcomes you, which virus spreads among the people of my church in these last days and which shall annihilate and decimate you spiritually, if ye do not listen to the voice of your redeemer, by refusing to read the words of that ancient sealed record that is now coming to you as a cure for the nations.
- Behold, I am the first and the last; I, who speak to you through this revelation, am Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Father, and as I told you in times past, when that which causes desolation surrounds Jerusalem, know that the time of the great tribulation is near and, just as the Romans retreated for a time after their siege on my chosen people in those days, use discernment when the desolating thing which surrounds you apparently retreats, for just as the legions of Roman soldiers returned to decimate the holy city, so will sudden destruction befall you, in case my people do not heed these words of mine that now come to you through my servant Mauricio Berger.
- Thus, a year has passed and, again, my people have been slow to heed the voice of the Lord their God; therefore I, the Lord your God, will be slow to answer your prayers in the day of your tribulations (D&C 101:7).
- And, behold, when ye cry unto Me, the Lord, the wind will blow away all your words, for the vanity in your hearts will carry them like a flash flood and none of your pride and arrogance will be advantageous in the day of calamity that rapidly comes upon you, but the one who trusts in me and clings to my words, these will possess the earth and will inherit my holy mountain, Zion.
- But how long, in the day of your peace, will my people treat my counsel lightly? Do ye not know that by the mouth of two or three witnesses (D&C 6:28) my people would be under an obligation to ascertain the facts to see whether there is not truth in what is being presented to you as being more of my words?
- This time, however, unlike what was required of my servant Joseph in the early days of restoration, I, the Lord, required of my chosen servant, whom today ye know as Mauricio Artur Berger, to call his witnesses even before the translation would occur, so that they would testify about the veracity of the plates, because I, the Lord, in my omniscient wisdom, foresaw that, due to their divergent precepts and personal interests, each one would take a different path after the translation.
- However, nothing can invalidate the history of this second invitation, that sublime moment, when, together, the eight original witnesses attested to the world, through the confirmation of the Holy Spirit which poured out on them on that sublime occasion, that the plates are authentic, while raising their voices with one united heart to me, Jesus Christ, just as my people should be in the fulness of times, with one heart, singing "sing alleluia to the Lord".
- Where are your witnesses now? It does not matter! What matters is that my chosen servant followed the pattern required by me, the Lord, just as it appears in your sacred scriptures. But ye, who claim to be my people these last days, why do ye not do the same?
- Why do ye not use the pattern to ascertain the facts as required in your scriptures? How long will I have to call you to repentance because of your stiff necks?
- In contrast, my people do not stop listening to the falsified voices of those who conspire without cause against mine anointed, in paying attention to the voices of wicked traitors who have infiltrated their midst and who have risen among my chosen ones to deceive you, while the facts, together with the witnesses of the artifacts, presented by my servant Mauricio could never, according to the law of men, ever be rejected by any court on earth, seeing that there are so many reliable witnesses of this event, more than the very law of men requires, to attest as true any fact that appears in human courts.
- Thus, how much more should this event, presented by this man whom ye know as Mauricio Berger, be accepted as true? It, through the divine word of your scriptures, followed the pattern stipulated by me, the Lord, who am his advocate with the Father, the Judge of all the earth, regarding the appearance of these records among the children of men, that the same would be shown by the power and gift of God to three witnesses and, in addition to these, to as many more as were necessary to bring this work to light.
- In spite of this, the refusal of my people to see the light coming from that record in the midst of the darkness that is found in the churches of the restoration, my bowels are full of compassion so that what was said by me shall be fulfilled, that when these days arrived, I would not expel them entirely in the day of my wrath, but I would remember mercy (D&C 101:9).
- Behold, therefore, I say unto you, just as I said to my people in times past, that because of the many false spirits which have gone forth on the earth deceiving the world (D&C 50:2), after the translation of this ancient record by the hand of my servant, Mauricio, behold, those who profess to be my church in these last days, who have strayed from my purposes and, although they draw near to me with their mouths and with their lips do honor me within the walls of their churches, but again have turned their hearts away from me in adherence to the precepts of men, therefore it must be fulfilled in you and in your generation that which was said by me to Jeremiah, that I will give you shepherds according to my heart, who will feed you according to my will and they will feed them with true knowledge of My word (Jer. 3:15), for I will gather a holy people out of all the nations for me, the Lord, and I will take you from the Latter-day Saints to lead them to the correct understanding of my will, in what concerns the law of consecration (D&C 105:29), so that this people, who will be a remnant people from the restoration of my gospel, never again walk according to the obstinacy and the precepts of men.
- Yes! A year has passed since the sealed portion of my gospel was revealed to you, and yet there was not a single soul among those who profess to be my church restructured by the hand of my servant, Joseph Fredrick Smith, that I, Jesus Christ, can say was truly converted to the precepts that were revealed to you with the arrival of this record, because ye were not able to experience good feelings through a united order, as required by me, the Lord, through mine angel, Moroni.
- I am not saying this to destroy what ye are, but to correctly build what ye have in Holden, as ye fulfill the words that I, Jesus Christ, recently revealed to my servant, Joseph Fredrick Smith, regarding the church he restructured to my name with the joining of the congregations that today hold their small structure in the land of the New Jerusalem, inasmuch as I told them in that revelation, that they jointly did not hearken unto my chosen servant and, for rejecting the one I sent to them, they must jointly repent so that ye can be counted worthy to be my church in the central stake of Zion, for only those who repent and come to me, Jesus Christ, are my church (D&C 10:67), formed not by brick and mortar walls, plastered by human hands and their personal precepts, but by living stones carved by my revealed word, just as the mason does with rough stones extracted from the quarry, which after being cut and polished, are fitted together with perfect symmetry and unity, in order to erect a living church that will answer the call of this second invitation in the land that I have assigned to you.
- However, behold, I, the Lord, will raise up a leader for my people, yea, a Davidic servant (Ezek. 34:23-25), who shall recognize the authority of my servant Mauricio and the veracity of the Sealed Book, inasmuch as my servant Mauricio shall anoint him, just as Samuel anointed David (1 Sam. 16:13), to lead my people in Utah under the tutelage of my prophet, and among them, I will raise up one — who shall be mighty and strong in my house (D&C 85:7), because I, the Lord, will carve him because of the precepts of men in his heart and I will polish him so that he might let go of his ivory beds, just as the leaders of Israel were clinging to theirs in the days when I sent Amos to them (Amos 6:4), but they rejected him because of their wealth, and I will fit them together in a perfect bond of unity, like living columns in the spiritual temple that I am erecting with true worshipers whom the Father is seeking so that they may worship him, in spirit and truth, through the rise of the school of the prophets, which I am restoring by the hand of my chosen servant, in order to conform in its teachings to the United Order of Enoch, so that my elect live in consecration.
- Thus, am not I, the Lord, sending you again (D&C 88:80) to work in my vineyard for the last time?[4]
- Know, therefore, o ye to whom the second invitation of my gospel in the fulness of times is extended in these last days, that I again sent my servant Joseph, in order to recover the good land of my vineyard, but his heirs did not recognize his autonomy over my field[5], just as the Pharisees in the meridian of time did not recognize that the spirit of Elijah rested on John the Baptist, even as my people today do not recognize that the spirit of my servant Joseph rests on the shoulders of my servant Mauricio and so they reject the one whom I appointed from among my servants to be the faithful and prudent steward of whom I said that I would raise up in the last days in my vineyard and that his stewardship and keys would not be taken from him, both in the world and in the world to come.
- However, behold, I say unto you, that law of consecration which has now been revealed to you with the arrival of this sealed record, should be observed by those who accept my invitation, being the fundamental basis of your faith in this ancient record, which, in the days of old, was sealed and preserved by me, the Lord, in order to fulfill that wise purpose of which I spoke to you before, and which shall be fulfilled in you and in your generation, as long as they keep these words of mine — Amen!
This revelation contains several specific prophecies of coming events and calamities. We can each choose whether or not to prepare now by obeying the words in The Sealed Book of Mormon, or again ignore this warning to wait and see if these words, as time will tell, indeed came from the Lord!
