Home of Calvin Sr. and Achsah having their Christmas family party, taken about 1953. Usually Grandma Achsah gave a grandchildren New Year's party with a popcorn ball for a treat. Remember the good old talent cousin performances we used to do for the New Year Party? Evelyn always made Grandma cry when she recited the poem of the little boy Blue who left his toys and died in the night. We always sang: "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean". A little present was given at the end of the program. Thanks to Grandma for all her great flannel board stories about the Bible and her pioneer memories.
