Born August 18, 1796 in Mansfield, Connecticut Married Dec. 6, 1832 Moved to Nauvoo, Sept. 6, 1844 and was widowed two times. She and her daughter, Henrietta Janes, walked across the plains with a hand cart, arrived Sept. 12, 1852 (3months, 8days walk) When they arrived in the valley, they stayed at the Fort Union settlement, established by Jehu Cox.
