This royal group of women are wearing silk dresses that were made at St. George. Grandma McOmber (Achsah) remembers the Mulberry bushes and the silk worms that were at their Rockville home. They not only were on a Cotton Mission to grow cotton in St. George, but they knew the art of silk making. St. George was known for its fine dress shops. Henrietta Janes crossed the plains with a hand cart as a youth, accompanied by her widowed mother.
