Here were many family and ward parties, dances, recreational and religious worship for Achsah and Calvin McOmber. Their first "date" was dancing at a dance in Guadalupe. Achsah said she was asked by Calvin D McOmber, the handsomest man in the colonies. However, both Achsah and Calvin came down with Typhoid fever and they suffered greatly the next year.
