Patison D. Griffith was born Jan. 3,1824 Berritown, Orleans, New York. A kind and musically talented man who loved dancing and carpentry. His skills were welcome to the great pioneering effort to Utah. He married Elizabeth Carson and raised a fine family. They crossed the plains and followed the call of Bringham Young to settle Cache Valley after living in Western Lehi known as Fairfield. His second wife Sarah was one of the first settlers in the South Eastern settlement of Idaho.
