The Great Sacred Round comprises 260 Sacred Rounds, with each named as are days in one 260-day Sacred Round.

This is the first article to propose advances in the knowledge of the Sacred Round (SR) Calendar since my original article correlating the day 1 Reed to the birth of Jesus Christ, based on the Aztec belief that Quetzalcoatl (the Feathered Serpent) was born on that day.[1] Dozens of articles have verified that the "1 Reed Correlation" is correct, but no further understanding the Sacred Round Calendar itself has come forth. In the case of other sacred calendars, "Great Years" have been proposed which bundle the years of each calendar in the same pattern as for the year itself, counting one year as a day in what is called the "day-year pattern" in my articles.[2] For nearly two decades it has seemed logical that a similar grouping of Sacred Rounds into "Great Sacred Rounds" should be possible and that such would even expected because it is done in virtually all of the other sacred calendars. Why then have no Great Sacred Rounds been proposed in my work until now? It is because the key of knowing exactly which Sacred Round should begin the count has not been known. The key to correlating the Sacred Round to our calendar was the knowledge that Christ was born on 1 Reed. A similar key is needed to correlate one particular Sacred Round to one event on our Gregorian Calendar in order to define a Great Sacred Round (GSR).

This article proposes that one sacred event which can be used as the anchor date of all Great Sacred Rounds is the date of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. With that Sacred Round identified, then all other Great Sacred Rounds are defined by merely counting forward and backward from it. The article then presents evidence that God is actually using this system of GSRs throughout history.

This article also assumes that the reader has a basic understanding that the Sacred Round is a simple day count formed by two interlocking cylces, one of 13 numbers called the trecena and of 20 day signs (glyphs or figures) called the veintena, as illustrated in Figure 1. More detail, such as the meanings of the day signs, is given in the reference given in footnote 1 (see Figure 2 for summary of glyph meanings).

The possibility of the existence of a Great Sacred Round comprising 260 Sacred Rounds has been on my research agenda ever since the discovery published in 2002 that God is using the Enoch Great Year, in which each of 364 years is named the same as each of the 364 days in one Enoch year.[3] The problem has been that there are 260 different choices possible for any one Sacred Round to be named and there was no apparent method available to decide which is correct. After selecting one GSR as anchor point, it would be necessary to verify that God is indeed using it by showing that a statistically significant number of key events of history not only occurred on holy days (SR) but also in holy GSRs.

One possible way to solve this puzzle occurred to me during this week. It is that the various sacred calendars are all designed by the same Creator and interlock with each other. In the case of the Sacred Round, its 260 days are forever locked to the 364-day pattern of the Uniform Enoch (UE) Calendar because seven Sacred Rounds exactly equals five UE years (7x260 = 5x364 = 1,820 days).

That pattern might suggest a solution to the problem. For example, Passover on the UE Calendar (14 Spring) can only occur on one of five different days on the Sacred Round: 1 Light, 1 Serpent, 1 Water, 1 Reed, or 1 Quake (days in boldface italics are major holy days and those in italics are minor as shown in Figure 4).[4] Even though that won't be true of GSRs and the UE years,[5] it might point the way to a possible solution.

Consider the following two features of the SR and UE Calendars. First, the Sacred Round day begins at 6 a.m. and the Enoch day begins at 6 p.m. Thus, while events during the daylight hours of any SR day may on occur on certain UE day, events of the following evening, on the same SR day, occur on the next UE day. For example 1 Reed (SR) corresponds to 14 Spring (Passover, UE) during the day, but to 15 Spring (Easter, UE) during the night. Sarah was born on 1 Reed (SR) after sunset which was 15 Spring (UE).

Now let us recall that Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that 1 Reed also represents resurrection as a step in man's progression. Thus, given that 1 Reed (SR) is one of the five possible choices for Easter (UE), it would make sense that 1 REED might well coincide with the resurrection of Jesus Christ because that occurred in the Great Year 15 SPRING (EASTER, UE).[6] Dates in all capital letters refer to GSRs (SR) or Great years (UE). Thus, it is here proposed that the correlation of the Great Sacred Rounds to our calendar is that the Resurrection on Sun 3 Apr AD 33 occurred in a GSR named 1 REED.

With that one event identified, all Great Sacred Rounds throughout history are also determined (similar to Figure 3, which refers to days rather than GSRs). Each group of 260 Sacred Rounds will begin with a Sacred Round named 13 FLOWER as the zeroth and 1 LIGHT as the first, even as each 13-day trecena in a Sacred Round begins on a number 13[7], similar to how our day begins on hour 12 (like a 0) rather than at 1:00 a.m.

Thus, a proposal has been made of an excellent prospect to be the anchor point to which to tie all Great Sacred Rounds in history. Now let us turn to see evidence that God appears to actually be using it by examining sacred events in holy Great Sacred Rounds.

Let us now look at several sacred events throughout history to see if it appears that God is using these Great Sacred Rounds. Dates will be quoted here for many key sacred historical events. All of them were proposed long ago in my work and are listed on my Religious Chronology which includes references to the articles explaining how they were determined. One Great Sacred Round lasts a little more than 185 years.

2.1 Patriarchs

The atonement and resurrection of Christ is arguably the most important event in history, having overcome death and also allowed mankind to return to the presence of God on the condition of repentance and following the doctrine of Christ. In the proposed model, this event occurred in 1 REED, which the very GSR representing the Resurrection.

The second most important event in history is arguably the Fall of Adam and Eve, which is what both caused mankind to be expelled from the presence of God and also to become mortal, introducing death. That is, the Fall was the event which required the need for the greatest event, so it has a good claim to be second in importance.

Eve fell on 13 Serpent 13 DRAGON!

Do the events of the Fall also show up in a meaningful holy GSR? The answer is indeed they do. Before looking at the GSR, let us recall that the Fall of Eve occurred on the day 13 Serpent (SR) and that of Adam two weeks later on 1 Storm (SR). Both of those dates are significant: Eve's is the highest day of the Serpent, and Adam's is symbolized by a destructive storm of fire and lightning. Now to that is added that the GSR was 13 DRAGON, the high point of the Dragon, which represents Satan. It was a holy GSR and one perfectly fitting the situation of the fall of mankind! Thus, this companion date to 1 REED for the Resurrection is a compelling witness that this correction is correct.

The birth and death dates of some of the antediluvian patriarchs had meaningful GSRs. For example, Abel was murdered on 1 Eagle 1 DEER. That is meaningful because 1 Eagle ties him to his father Adam who was born on 1 Eagle and 1 DEER represents entering the Spirit World, where he became the first and presiding priesthood leader. Seth, who replaced him, died on 13 Reed 13 REED. His son Enos died on 1 Skull 7 DOG, where "Dog" represents anguish. His son Cainan was born in 1 Skull 7 SKULL and his son Mahalaleel was born on 7 Dragon 1 DRAGON. His son Jared, the father of Enoch, was born on 1 Eagle 1 EAGLE and died on 13 Jaguar 1 DEER, his life completing an exact number of Sacred Rounds. Thus, even not counting Abel who dropped out of the line, six birth or death dates of the first seven patriarchs all occurred in meaningful holy GSRs, which is far beyond chance,[8] providing even more compelling witnesses that God is using this GSR correlation. The only two patriarchs of the first seven not listed are Adam and Enoch, both of whom were so important that births and deaths were on holy days on many other sacred calendars.

The Great Deluge occurred during 7 FLINT. The symbol Flint represents a flint knife used in sacrifice, which seems appropriate.

The birth and death dates of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are mostly not in holy GSRs, but it should be noted both of the blessings of Isaac and Jacob to their posterity were in meaningful holy GSRs. Isaac blessed his two sons Jacob and Esau in 13 STORM, and later on his deathbed, he blessed his grandsons on 13 Eagle 1 FLINT. Then on his deathbed Jacob blessed his sons on 1 Storm 1 QUAKE. Joseph, also in the patriarchal line, was born on 1 Quake 13 FLINT which may be significant because it involves the same days Quake and Flint as the blessings.

2.2 Ancient Israel

Let us now turn the dating of key events in the history of the Ancient Israel.

Born on 1 Flower 13 WIND.

King David died on 1 Condor 1 TEMPLE and his son King Solomon died on 1 Skull 7 LIGHT. The date proposed in my articles for the Fall of Israel is 1 Skull 7 REED. The date of the capture of King Jeconiah, a huge date marking the beginning of the captivity of Judah, was 1 Wind 1 WATER. The Decision Day (PH) on which the Jews changed their mind about freeing their slaves in a jubilee year was 13 Temple 13 LIGHT. Shortly thereafter, on 1 Water 13 LIGHT, the Lord proclaimed that because of that, instead of being given liberty, they would now be free to die by sword. The siege by Babylon began on 1 Flower 1 WIND and Jerusalem fell on 1 Storm 3 DRAGON. King Jeconiah was released on 1 Wind 1 LIGHT, marking an exact number of Sacred Rounds of his captivity. All of these key events had meaningful symbolism, adding more witnesses that God is indeed using this calendar system.

2.3 Jesus Christ

What about the life of Jesus Christ? Keeping in mind that with holy GSRs coming only every 6 or 7 cycles, there is not much expectation of these long GSR cycles being important in a short life of only 33 years. It does in fact happen, however, that both the beginning and ending years of His life, when many sacred events occurred, were indeed in holy GSRs.

Jesus was born on 1 Reed 7 DEER, was presented to the Jeshua temple priest on his 40th day on 1 Grass 7 DEER, received the magi on 1 Serpent 7 DEER, and was taken to Egypt to flee the evil of Herod's sword 1 Dragon 7 DEER. Note that the great cycles, such as GSRs, are often reserved for periods when several sacred events will occur in that one time period.

5,000 were fed on 1 Reed 13 GRASS.

The other time of clustering of sacred events in the life of Jesus was toward the end of His ministry. The Feeding of the 5,000 occurred on 1 Reed 13 GRASS and the Transfiguration occurred on 13 Light 13 GRASS.

Many important events occurred near His Crucifixion, but in this case, it is not surprising that they occurred in the major holy GSR 1 REED because that was chosen as the anchor point for the entire series. Jesus was anointed for His burial by Mary on 7 Quake 1 REED, one week before the Resurrection. After His death, he visited paradise to declare deliverance to the captive spirits there and then also resurrected before 13 Temple 1 REED ended at 6 am on Sunday morning. The Ascension 40 days later was on 1 Temple 1 REED. Thus, several sacred events occurred in that major holy GSR.[9]

The subsequent fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD also occurred on meaning Sacred Round dates. The wall was first breached on 13 Water 1 SERPENT. Josephus notes that a heavenly army was seen on a day corresponding to 1 Temple 1 SERPENT. Then the temple was burned on 13 Flower 2 SKULL, the first day of that GSR. While 2 SKULL was not holy, the symbolism of Death is very meaningful.

One item which has come from this analysis is whereas the holiness of a day or GSR is determined by whether its associated number is 1, 7 or 13, in the case of GSR's it is the day sign, such as Skull, which is the most important. Some Native Americans believe the same is true for the days of the Sacred Round.[10]
